I love how Laurie Halse Anderson writes in short paragraphs. She also uses a lot of figurative language which makes the job of finding examples a lot easier. However, I wasn't used to the dialogue being in the format it was in. I like the change of style.
I like how Laurie Halse Anderson makes the book realistic. I think it is creative in the way she writes in short paragraphs, and doesn't have distinct chapters. But, i do wish she would use more dialogue.
I really like how the book is written in first person. You get an inside look on the main characters thoughts and feelings. We are able to really get to know Melinda on a deeper level.

I really enjoy the style of the writing with the multiple short paragraphs. I also really like the dialoge layout.
