Do you think that some sort of relationship will ever develop between the Basketball Pole (Brendan Keller) and Melinda since they have had two encounters together, the lunchroom, and on the basketball court.
Do you think Melinda secretly loved it when Ms. Connors and her P.E. coach got very excited about the future of Melinda helping the basketball team out? Did she take pride in it but just hide her feelings?
In response to the question about anyone asking her about calling the cops, I don't think people exactly want to know the whole truth. But later on in the story I think people will become more up front with Melinda and try to get to the bottom of the situation.
My response to Brenna's question about Brendan and Melinda ever having a relationship is no, because I think that Andy may have sexually abused her and now she doesn't trust guys because she's afraid that the same thing that happened with Andy will happen again.
In response to Anjelica's question about her parents: I honestly think her parents notice but have decided to ignore it. They may be unsure of how to handle her situation and hope she works it out on her own. I also think they may be too emersed in their own work and in their own unsteady marriage.
